May 2016 - I'm back at it !!! Let's just say that a divorce, a couple moves, and a few major construction projects have had a major impact on my progress. That's not to say my efforts have stalled (no pun intended!), but I have not made as much progress as I would have liked. Oh well, you can't always predict what direction life will take you in.
My name is Jerry Szelc and I started my RV-9A project in January 2006. So far I have completed the tail, wings, fuselage and much of the the panel and electrical system. I am currently working on the sliding canopy and hope to install the engine before the Spring 2015. If you have an questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

May 22, 2016: Working on the front windshield and sliding canopy. I decided to glue the canopy and the windshield instead of riveting it. So far I am pleased with this decision, but have several thoughts and suggestions related to constructing it this way. Click here to read more about the process and what I believe are some useful suggestions.
Construction Photos - I keep all of the photos of the project on a separate photo website called SmugMug.com. Click on one of the links below to see all of the photos of the construction process. Many of the picture have descriptive captions with additional information. Last Upload: September 26, 2014
